The SIM card makes it possible to make calls directly from the SMARTY Trend radio using the dialer application.

The buttons on the steering wheel are convenient and also safe when using an Android device in an Ford car. The SMARTY Trend Ampla Ultra-Premium series head unit provides support for various types of original steering wheel buttons:

• Digital buttons (CAN bus Rx-Tx). The buttons will operate according to the vehicle protocol.
• Analog buttons (wire Key1 and/or Key2). The buttons will be configured manually, 2 functions can be set to 1 button.

All necessary cables and a CAN-bus box (in the case of digital buttons) are included in the kit for the Ford Kuga 1 Gen (2008-2012) head unit.
