Example of installed Smarty Trend car stereo in the BMW Z4 E89 (2009-2018) with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features.
MW Z4Â is a two-seater sports car produced by the German company BMW.
The exterior of the new car was created by German designer Juliana Blasi. The main dimensions and technical "stuffing" of the model remained the same, but the body was completely new and had a rigid roof, consisting of two aluminum parts, folding into the trunk. In just 20 seconds, fully automatically, the car changed from an open roadster to a closed compartment and back.
Unfortunately, the cost of improving this car is quite large, due to the fact that it has a huge number of on-board systems, the question of improvement for many remains a problem, because the main factor is the ability to support the standard functions of this car. SMARTY Trend company has a solution to improve this car.Â
Installation process:
The SMARTY Trend head unit is standard system. It was specially designed taking into account all the technical features of this car, the connection is made according to the connector-to-connector principle, there is no need to do additional work. It is necessary to clarify which system is used in your car, it can be NBT or CIC. As a rule, this can be easily checked, for this it is enough to indicate the year of manufacture of your car. A feature of this radio is that the sound is reproduced through the standard AUX, the presence of this function is mandatory. The presence of this function can be easily checked; when you select a sound source in the head unit menu, you will see the presence of the AUX function. These parameters are very important for the selection of a device specifically for your car.
Features of operation:
The main feature of the SMARTY Trend head unit is full support for all standard functions of your car, since the standard system is not replaced, but supplemented with a new screen and Android unit. The two systems are controlled by a standard joystick, namely the menu button. After holding down this button, you switch between systems, so they work in parallel from each other. Thus, all the standard functionality is preserved, but with a huge number of new functionalities for your car, from the navigation system to the presence of the Internet, the ability to connect additional accessories to expand the functionality of your car.
